You Are 40% Left Brained, 60% Right Brained
The left side of your brain controls verbal ability, attention to detail, and reasoning.Left brained people are good at communication and persuading others. If you're left brained, you are likely good at math and logic.Your left brain prefers dogs, reading, and quiet.

The right side of your brain is all about creativity and flexibility.Daring and intuitive, right brained people see the world in their unique way.If you're right brained, you likely have a talent for creative writing. Your right brain prefers day dreaming, philosophy, and sports.

Recently:
If someone comes and report sick for fever and rashes, you suspect him to be down with dengue.
If someone gets charged for writing something, he/she probably wrote sth that deemed insulting in his personal weblog.
If a male gets groped...???
Our society has changed. There are more bold and daring 302s around now. What is 302? Ans: gays.
My friend wanted to retrieve some dockets in the consultation room. The patient in the consultation room saw him and gave a smack on his butt. The patient said 'nice and sexy butt ya?'
My friend was flabbergasted.

Monday is a tough day. But how tough can it be?
A perfectly normal human being will experience 'monday blues'. Because no one likes to work. Unless your name is (no one), if not, working is a chore.
Well, let me tell u guys that WE always view things in a difficult way. Is working that difficult? Let me ask u a qn. Give me an answer immediately
If 1=5,
2=25,
3=125,
4=625,
what is 5= to?
If u r still figuring out what is the answer if we multiply 625 by 5, pls dun. U are making your life miserable. Look, isn't 5=1?
Come'on, its only 5 more days and you'll get another 2 days of break. Life isn't that difficult.

It isn't the mountain ahead that wears you out, it's the grain of sand in your shoe.
A grain of sand? Probably more than that. The problems that I am facing now can easily accumulate up to a mountain of sand.
The audit, which is approaching, is driving me crazy. I maybe excellant in other aspects of work, but I failed terribly when it comes to auditing. That shouldnt be the way.
I apologise for blasting at some of my friends recently, but that's because I overworked. I'm tired. I'm shag. I'm burnt out.
I need a rest.

Reading the Straits Times Forum can kill your boredom. I read one interesting article today. Where's the class when you buy a new car at pasar malam?
http://straitstimes.asia1.com.sg/forum/story/0,5562,342360,00.html?
I can't fathom the idea of lining up Nissan Sunny, Mitsubishi Lancer, Hyundai and Kia cars alongside the likes of household items, potted plants, food stalls etc..... They cost $50,000 to $60,000 each. That easily fetches you probably 50,000 sticks of fishballs at a pasar malam...... We are talking about 'face' in our Asian society. Will you say 'Oh yes, I bought a Lancer from the pasar malam below my flat yesterday!' or 'I bought my car at XXX showroom?'
Well, I agree with her. I wonder who will purchase a car from pasar malam. Will you?

Ok, my main topic today. SCHOOLS' REPORT CARD 2005.

My sch has finally emerged as one of the top secondary schs in Singapore! (L1R5<11)

I used to write to the Straits Times Forum. However, I stopped writing upon my enlistment. Well, I wrote in last Saturday because I was bored....
http://www.straitstimes.com.sg/forum/story/0,5562,341738,00.html?
Ok, enjoy reading!

I read with interest on one of the forum letter in The Straits TImes ( Monday edition ):
COLLAPSED AFTER MARATHON by Alan Shadrake
After I completed the Army Half Marathon on Sep 11, I fainted and collapsed on my way to collect my finisher's medal. My companion put my sports bag under my head as I lay there feeling very dizzy.
Then I heard some concerned voices asking my companion what had happened and if I was Ok. I looked up to see two young Singaporean women with worried looks on their faces. While one ran for the army medics, the other poured her gatorade into a cup for me to drink.
The medics arrived and soon I was on a stretcher resting in a tent while my vitals were checked. Within 30 mins, I was allowed to go home.
I would like to thank the young women who showed such concern, and the army medics, who were extremely professional in getting me back on my feet again.

Wayne says: No problem, treating casualties is our job and we take it with pride. We are pleased to serve you.

I luv the feeling. I am alone in the car, driving along the expressway, turning on the radio to full blast. Intoxicated in the beautiful world of music.
Suddenly, I saw POLICE!!! Oh no!!! I looked at my speedometer, 90+km/hr(luckily). Shd be alright. Phew!
I was at Takashimaya on Friday to shop for mooncakes. I was quite disgusted when I saw ugly Singaporeans gobbling up a voluminous share of mooncakes that were meant for (free) testing. Leave this aside. My main purpose was to buy a box of Champagne mooncake (Champagne mooncake- a delicacy from heaven!).
After a walk in a sea of kiasu Singaporeans, I declare taht champagne mooncakes had extinct and durian mookcakes'r in vogue.
P.S. Talking about durians, I hate durians. I have a phobia of durians. The thorny fruit with sticky flesh. And worse of all, it leaves a pungent smell in your mouth aft eating. Yucks!
No champagne mooncakes? Yupz, So I left Takashimaya with a box of Green tea flavoured mooncake.

My friend and I were discussing about names in msn ytd night. I would say that it was a rather crappy but interesting conversation.
It started off like this:
- Chat in confidential - haha
Wayne: I like names like1)Chanel2)Charmaine3)Jermaine4)Shermaine etc etc.
Friend: what about silver, gold, jade?or platinium or copper?
Wayne: titanium or steel?
Friend: Rain or snow or dew
Wayne: u honeydew la or u wan watermelon
make yr name more high class la...maybe Chanel, Prada, Louis Vuitton.. i noe.... Cherry--rhyme wif your name arh
Wayne: but i'm afraid next time if i tell pple hey my name is wayne... den they'll jus say.. hey wei wei wei ( wayne wayne wayne )too bad my dad dun haf eng name, eg if my dad's name is john, den i'll be johnson
jack.. den jackson
Talking about names, I remembered vividly that my Pri 6 English Teacher, Ms Lim pronounced my name in a wierd way.
People pronounce JIAYE as - JIAYE, JIA YI or JIA EE. Whatever it is, I'm used to it. However, Ms Lim pronounced it as JI AYE. Do u know how to pronounce AYE? But, with her creative mind, she managed to.
I'd got another teacher, also called Ms Lim, who mispronounced my name too. She was my Junior College teacher. She superbly pronounce JIAYE as YUE TING.
Well, it seems that most Ms Lims do not know their hanyu pinyin well. Is my name that difficult to pronounce in the first place? I guessed so....
In my work place, I will never tell any reservistman that my name is Jiaye. Because they'll simply reply 'huh?' I'll say, just call me CPL Woo. Well, problem arises again. They'll ask 'CPL Wu?' Fed up with these questions, I guess I will have to say 'I am CPL Double U, Oh, Oh (Woo)'in the future.
I hope you guys understand my exasperation.
Never mind, if there is a problem, there will be a solution.

Finland, France, Switzerland or Italy?
France and Switzerland! Here I come!

My pathetic weekend was spent in Padang. Nope, I was not complaining ( because its really a gd experience ) about doing medical covers over the weekend. The fact that my ( so near, yet so far ) theory pops out of my mind whenever I turned my eyes to the direction of Suntec City made me feel this way. You know what I meant, right?
Saturday: Spent the whole afternoon building BCS tentage and moving stores to our respective areas.
Sunday: Slept at 3am but was awoken by the loud and irritating music ( The World Cup 98 theme song ). Casualties started to come in at around 7am.
This was the first time I received so many casualties! I was working non-stop till 11am and saw all sorts of casualties. I'd got serious casualties with severe hyperventilation, I'd got casualties requiring only minor treatment and... there was one who came with nipple abrasion! Nipple abrasion? If you think that sounds interesting, the whole process of treating him was even more hilarious.
I disinfected his wound and put a plaster on his nipple. But his whole body was so hairy that the plaster wasnt able to stick onto his nipple. It was left dangling on his hair around his nipple. I pulled it off. He wasnt happy for what I did. After that, I made a suggestion to my friend. Why not put a gauze or melolin onto both his nipples and tie a crepe bandage around his chest. You know, army guys think dirty. Doesnt the latter treatment resemble a bra with padding? - for him?
Think only Drs and Medics will understand what I am talking about. Never mind, forget it.

Ytd, someone asked me "Yoz JY, how you manage to 'siam' the 21km run".
Dang dang dang dang, the answer is:
1)Because I am a responsible medic, always ready to seek, save and serve.
2)Because of my overly zealous attitude towards serving our nation.
3)Because they need gd medics like me to cover AHM.
Forget it, I'm sure readers of my blog will say that I'm crapping. Well, heaven knows.

Ok, I'd received a gd news today. My name was taken off from the list of participants in the Army Half Marathon. They put me on medical cover. That means, I will get 2 days of off! and... I don't have to wake up at 4am to get ready for the 21.1km run!

My good friend is going to Seattle for an exchange programme soon. A few words from the bottom of my heart:
Hey friend! Its really a chance for you to see the world.
Congratulations! U'd got it! Wish you all the best in yr future endeavours. Ganbatte!

IT savvy professionals looking for the best deals in COMEX fair.
Food lovers gobbled up delicacies in the International Food Fair.
Loving couples choosing wedding suits.
03 September 2005. Welcome to Suntec City.
I was at Suntec today and was quite surprised to see the overwhelming crowd. I felt as though I was heading for a countdown party. Traffic jams around the boundaries of Suntec City, together with the human jams at the City Link-Suntec overhead bridge create this atmosphere.
The International Food festival showed negative images of Singaporeans. I was utterly disgusted because paper plates were left on the tables uncleared and chilli sauce was spilt over the table ( like nobody's business )! There were no cleaners - so for goodness sake, clear your tables after eating! I would have been more forgiving if they had cleared their plates and wouldnt have taken it as a personal affront!
The state of the exhibition hall was comparable to Tuas incinerator!

I had a lot of fun tonight.

Kelvin taught me a valuable lesson today: nothing is impossible. His triumph over Kelly Poon is definitely a hard fought one. Rumours about him aside, the fact that he has won the Project Superstar proves that he has the ability to achieve further. The melancholic voice of Kelvin touches our hearts and the never say die spirit of him is something that we should learn.
Although, I feel that Kelly should be the superstar tonight, Kelvin's hard fought performance deserves our applause.
